The unveiling of this plaque by Kathryn Gutteridge, President of the Royal College of Midwives, aptly in this year of celebrating women's suffrage, commemorates two pioneering women - Zepherina Philadelphia Veitch (1836–1894) and Dame Mary Rosalind Paget DBE, ARRC (1855–1948), trained at THE BRITISH LYING-IN HOSPITAL.
